Mendocino County College Professor Jason Davis Charged with Child Sexual Abuse
Jason Davis, a 54-year-old Ukiah resident and English professor at Mendocino College, was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department for child sexual abuse. Authorities charged him with six felony crimes. According to reports, the female victim, now 15, was only 13 years old when the abuse began. Per this statement by Mendocino College, Mr. Davis has been placed on administrative leave by the school. After his arraignment, Davis pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Jason Davis is Charged with Six Felony Counts of Child Sexual Abuse
The Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office has charged Davis with six felony child sexual abuse counts, including:
- Unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor
- Possession of child pornography
After he was arrested, Davis was booked into the Mendocino County Jail. He was given bail of $1 million.
Davis was arrested after the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Ukiah police and referred an investigation into an alleged sexual relationship between a Mendocino College professor and a student at the school who was underage.
In addition, Jason Davis is also involved in a civil lawsuit in the San Francisco Superior Court. The civil case involves accusations of sexual abuse by two former students.
Detectives with the Ukiah police obtained a search warrant for Davis’ home, where they found evidence that he engaged in a sexual, romantic relationship with a former student who is 15 years old. There was also evidence that Davis was cohabitating with the former underage student. Photos and videos found at his home show that the relationship with the student began when she was only 13.
Mendocino College released a statement saying that when allegations of wrongdoing by the then-English professor surfaced, they immediately placed him on administrative leave. Also, the college stated that it is fully cooperating with investigators on the case.
