Edward Sepulveda Southern CA Foster Parent Accused of Child Sexual Abuse for More than Two Decades

Edward Sepulveda was recently arrested and booked into the Robert Presely Detention Center for alleged child sexual abuse. According to the Riverside Police Department, Sepulveda is facing multiple felony sexual abuse charges. He is being held on a $1 million bail.
Sepulveda was a foster parent for over two decades. During this time, it is believed that the 68-year-old man, from Moreno Valley, was abusing the children who were in his custody. Due to the length of time that Edward Sepulveda was serving as a foster parent, authorities in this case believe there may be many additional victims still out there who have not yet been identified. As a result, detectives are asking the public for assistance in finding anyone who may have information about this case.
Victims of child sexual abuse in California may seek financial compensation for the harm and damages they suffered. For more information on how to go about pursuing justice and obtaining the compensation you deserve, please call our California child sexual assault attorney at Beck Law P.C.
Edward Sepulveda Cared For As Many As 90 Foster Children Over the Years
Detectives with the Riverside Police Department’s Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Unit were assigned to this case. After receiving a report of child abuse on one adolescent in Sepulveda’s care, an investigation was launched which uncovered several more victims. Currently, the police are looking into as many as four active cases, but expect there to be many more survivors out there.
For more than 24 years, foster children were subjected to alleged abuse at Sepulveda’s residence in the 600 block of Highlander Drive in Riverside as well as at other locations throughout Moreno Valley. The investigation revealed that over the years he was an active foster parent, as many as 90 children were placed with Sepulveda. The alleged victims were both young boys and girls.
When the alleged abuse occurred, Sepulveda was married. Although authorities have interviewed his wife as part of the investigation, they have not released any information on whether or not she, too, was involved or a person of interest.
Police suspect that there are more people who have been victimized by Edward Sepulveda and who have further information about this case. They are urging the public to assist investigators by calling the Riverside Police Department’s SACA Unit at 951-353-7945.
